Shalin is a Structurer in the Structured Solutions Team with responsibilities which involve the structuring and implementation of bespoke derivative-based solutions for pension fund clients, including swaps and equity derivatives.
He joined LGIM in 2007 from Mercer Investment Consulting where he consulted on and implemented LDI strategies.
Prior to this he worked for Hewitt Associates where he gained further experience in pensions and investment consulting. Prior to leaving South Africa, Shalin worked for Sanlam Life Limited as Head of Consultant Relations.
Shalin is a qualified actuary and started his career in product management and development for group life and investment policies.
